SMS Compliance
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Overview
fullbook is a CRM and marketing platform used by local service businesses. When a business sends SMS through fullbook, the recipient is that business's customer — not a fullbook account holder. We deliver messages only after documented opt-in consent and block all sends to numbers that have opted out.
See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. Web form opt-in
Businesses may collect SMS consent on their website, booking page, or intake form. Consent requires an unchecked checkbox — never pre-selected. The exact consent language is stored in our compliance database before any message is sent.

2. Customer portal preferences
End customers who create an account on the Fullbook customer portal (https://my.fullbook.co) can
manage SMS preferences by category. All toggles default to off; the
customer must actively enable each channel. Changes are timestamped with source portal for audit.

- Promotions & offers
- Appointment reminders
- Review requests
Toggles shown in the off (default) state. Customer must click to opt in.
3. Verbal and written consent
Business staff may collect consent in person or by phone during a service visit. Staff
record the consent in the Fullbook CRM with the customer's phone number, opt-in method
(verbal or written), exact consent language shown, and timestamp. No SMS is sent until this
record exists in our sms_opt_ins compliance table.
4. Message types
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Service updates and follow-up messages
- Marketing promotions and seasonal offers (with explicit marketing consent)
- Review and feedback requests
Message frequency varies by business and customer preferences.
5. Opt-out (STOP)
Recipients may opt out at any time by replying to any message with: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. Opt-out is processed immediately via automated webhook workflow. A confirmation message is sent:
"You have been unsubscribed from SMS messages. Reply START to opt back in."
Recipients may also manage preferences in the customer portal or ask the business directly.
6. Help (HELP)
Recipients may reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact the business that sent the message directly. For platform support, email support@fullbook.co.
7. Data handling
We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and message content are processed by our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) solely to deliver messages on behalf of the business. See our Privacy Policy and Subprocessors list.
